Derek Saymore

Derek is a posh, insecure, and gullible man obsessed with status and luxury, particularly Pomerol’s Grand Vin Petrus.

His naivety leads to comical misadventures, including being scammed by an Albanian teenage gang and mistaken for Oliver Hardy by Groucho Marx.

Traumatised by these events, he distrusts auctions, certain groups, and even specific beverages. To avoid further humiliation, he hires a private detective. Unsurprisingly, his family life is strained.
